Code Geass film advert
For our upcoming music videos: we’re going to have to create a music video poster about the music video, using Layer. In preparation for this: I started using Layer to get used to the different techniques of layer. I tried making some posters. I started by making my own fan poster for the new Code Geass film. You can see what I did in the screenshot below. I included an image from the film along with a Facebook Like page and the link to the page for it on MAL that you can see here. I also featured the trailer on YouTube on the poster to. The poster is far from perfect but it’s a start.

Stimming fixers project
Next I tried working on a poster about my Fixers project on the subject of Self stimulatory behaviour (or stimming for short) that you can view here. The project took the form of a comedy sketch that aimed to raise understanding and awareness of autism and stimming. My poster featured the video itself, along with a link to my website, contact number and link to my book.

Both the previous two attempts at posters were okay. However, they really lacked something. They were both in serious need of titles and written information. This was something I couldn’t work out how to do unfortunately. I still haven’t figured out how to add text but I did come up with an alternative which will do for now. I decided to work on the title and written information on Microsoft Word and then take a screenshot of what I did and then upload it to Layer. On top of this, I linked to my Website, my Facebook Like Page, my book on amazon and also gave my contact phone number. I am far more happy with how this poster turned out than I am with the others. It’s much more the way I wanted it. So much so that I really want to publish it, but unfortunately it won’t let me. 😦 It keeps saying it’s analysing and I can’t publish it till it’s finished but the problem is that it doesn’t seem to end. It’s been saying the same thing for days now which is making me worried. I would like to be able to share it around but I worry that I won’t ever be able to do that. Even the tutor is unaware of what the issue is there. I can only hope that it will eventually get resolved.
